Comments: The 9,580 ha that includes Canyon del Rio Lobos, in the municipalities of Hontoria del Pinar (Burgos), San Leonardo de Yagüe, Casarejos, Santa Maria de las Hoyas, Herrera de Soria, Nafría of Ucero and Ucero (all these in the province of Soria), were declared a Natural Park by Decree of the Junta de Castilla y León 115/1985 of 10 October, in response to its unique natural attributes. Later, in 1987, declared that same area Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA).
